Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

OK so i just got my first MPC. A MPC 2000 to be exact. I read the manual over and over but it isn't too clear about the difference in trimming a sample and zone editing it? I got the trim part down but what exactly is the use of the "zone edit" feature? Thanks

You should DO what you read about and it will become clear on how the mpc acts and reacts.

When you trim a sample you are cutting of the start and end of the sample leaving only the part you want in the middle. ZnEdit is a function of the trim screen. ZnEdit has a number of uses because it allows you to select a zone and perform a number of different edits on it such as reversing the sound or making that small piece a new sample in your MPCs memory.
