Korg MS-2000b or Yamaha MM8...

Korg MS-2000b and Yamaha MM8. Stuck on these two... played with both, like em a lot. Can any one help tell me why one is better than the other..Or another board that is eve better? I like the organic/classic feel and sounds of the Korg but the Yamaha has more contemporary sounds that I feel I would be limited with the Korg... Much thanks.

It's all a matter of preference and what kind of sound you're looking for. Unfortunately, there's not an all-in-one synth that covers everything -- that's why we use samplers

If you don't mind the smaller keys, at it's price the MicroKorg XL gives the MS-2000 a run for it's money.

word. just lookin to add another piece to my 2000xl, gemini tt and logic setup. the microkorg's dope but the MS-2000b is essentially the microkorg with waay more control. Yamaha sounds are a little weaker but the sampling function would be nice to have on both my pieces. thanks for your help tho patna.
