Has anyone had a problem with your keyboard sounds when it's MIDI to the XL?

Here's the problem. When I got to MIDI whatever track, I'll play like a high hat from my board. When I do this, it sounds like it double up causing it to sound high pitch (I guess that is what you can call it).

It's almost like when you place two of the same snares on top of each other.

Anyone have this problem?

Turn off local control on your keyboard.

it could be that you're in an infinite midi loop - the keyboard tells the MPC a note, the MPC relays it back to the keyboard, and it keeps doin that. If its sound that won't go away, do a midi panic. Sometimes I have that problem with my grooveboxes ... but like coo said, also try local control off on your kb.
