Audio track seem to be "clipping" with MPC 2000XL...

Has anyone seen this happen? Everytime I attempt to record an audio track into Digital Performer the audio appears to be "clipping" or giving this "static" like effect no matter how low I have the output on the MPC. Can anyone help with this?

check your preamps on your interface (or however your getting it into your computer.) (See if there is a 'pad' options for your preamps. Follow the signal flow. Also check your master output level inside your xl's mixer window. Check for any loose / bad cables. Could be a sour output, is it on both channels ? (L/R)

Also try recording from your headphone output, and see if it is giving you the same results.
