"arrow down"-button is not working anymore...

Hello everybody!

As said in the threads subject: the arrow down button of my MPC2000 is not working anymore, which makes "working" with it impossible.
At first the button had to be pressed really hard to effect any changes in the menu. Now its not reacting anymore...

Can anyone please help me and may tell me, what i´m supposed to do?
Is it possible to fix this problem wthout buying any spare parts?
Maybe someone has had this problem as well?

After searching with different keywords i´ve found this thread, which deals with the same problem.

Wenn du löten kannst oder jemanden kennst dem du vertraust und er löten kann dann geh in den Conrad Laden und hol dir den hier :

PHAP3301D (kannst auf conrad.de mal nach dieser Artikelnummer suchen dann siehst du was ich meine)

oder besser löte einen Taster des MPCs aus und nimm ihn mit in den Conrad Laden.

Wenn auch andere Taster nur schwer reagieren dann würde ich die an deiner Stelle auch gleich austauschen.

You need to replace the tactile button

It's the small square button with the round plastic actuator in the center.

underneath the round actuator, there is a small round metal disc that is domed, and there is a center contact and two side contacts under it

These get all corroded and make bad contact.

You might get lucky tryin to spray in some Deoxit contact cleaner, and then hit it with G5, but it's tough to flow the stuff in there adequately, and even then, tough to get it to work itself enough to remove the corrosion

The button itself is cheap, cop one and replace it. soldering required, pretty tight in there, so be careful.
