2000xl - Note variation/Note repeat problem

Hi i just got my 2kxl the othet week and the only problem i have with it is that the note variation slider and the note repeat button doesnt seem to work. Im guessing this is a hardware fault, does anyone think they might know what the problem is and how to go about fixing it, thanks.

The NV sliders have been known to die following years of intentional abuse. Can be replaced or repaired.

Make sure you have selected a quantize amount BEFORE using note repeat, otherwise NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.

Note repeat is linked to the currently selected quantize value.
