Has anyone gotten any type of IDE drive to work on the 2k Classic's internal SCSI connection with an adapter

If I'm not mistaken scsiforsamplers.com did with a custom ribbon cable or something.

^That's the modification, you just cut one end off and split a 25 pin scsi cable and make your external scsi an internal, requires soldering.

I made a connection on the SCSI connection inside the 2000 so the external SCSI
connection is also still working.

Does it require the extensive soldering? I can do it but I wouldnt be comfortable unless I had a spare board/MPC 2k just encase something goes wrong. It's difficult to solder tight spots (to me) where the soldering has to be precise (+/- few centimeters). If it's not too bad I will do it in a heartbeat, I don't want to lose my external SCSI though. This is the end of this thread I am taking my thoughts/questions to the original (if it isn't locked). Okay.... Soldering is out of the question but..... I don't want to use any external drive (to keep the studio clean), how do I turn the external SCSI connection internal? I don't need anything sticking out of the MPC SCSI related. So is there a plate or something I can cover up the hole with and mount the SCSI connection internally? Any ideas (I know SCSI4Samplers has a $44 internal SCSI kit)?
