Can i use a scsi to usb cable and plug my mpc 2000 into an external hard drive?

Think about. Mpc2000 or mpc2000xl is like over ten years old. Plus when u turn from scsi to usb, the best thing I know is u can only read the data at the best. But u cannot save because the os and the component that u have. Newer models as like 2500 can plug in an usb harddrive, because it has adapt the singlas (think it is the right word) from usb to usb connection on the 2500. If I was u should buy an compact flash driver, what is adapted to the mpc. Only down part that if u have like 4gb of space, u can only use only one.

hit craigslist and get 2 zip drives one for the mpc and one for the pc then use the computer hard drive transfer via zip drive. I got zip drives on craigslist for 5 bucks. works good

i saw the same SD Card drive that they have on MPCSTUFF.COM for £30 on ebay. maybe thats the best way forward. thanks for your help guys.

it's an extenal one. i've got a classic. the install video on mpcstuff.com was for a classic so should work fine.

An external scsi card reader is an option for classic users, check youtube.

Yeah I know, but for 30 (whatever that currency is) is a lot less than $200 US Dollars.

I assumed this meant it wasn't the exact same drive that was listed on MPCSTUFF. I thought he was saying he saw a drive just like it for a lot less money. My bad for the misunderstanding

it was the exact same drive. think it was called a "spyrus" or something like that. it eventually went for £50. dam good price if you ask me. its better for me cos i live in the uk and this one was from london. means i don't have to get one shipped from the states.
