Hot-Swap function with a adapter SATA to IDE

hello,

i would know if i can use the hot-swap from this card reader when i put it with a SATA to IDE adapter in my mpc 2kxl or if it just works when the card reader is an ide reader.

That reader has the same faceplate as the old IDE version.
Assuming they built it with the same controller, it should hotswap.... assuming that the MPC will like the adapter

A lot of IFs.... but it'd be worth a shot

I´m very curious since this would really be a fine solution.... Also, is there enough space internally for adapter/cable?
