Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By Grahams Mon Nov 02, 2009 2:53 pm
I have been trying to fit an 8 output board to my MPC2000XL which was out of a S3000XL, somehow I got the cable the wrong way round and now the 8 output board wont work and also the headphone and onboard outputs wont work.
I get a very faint output on the headphones but is very low and you can hardly hear it. :
Has anyone had anything similar?

Any possible fix before I scrap it?

Thanks for reading.

Check to see if you may have blown a fuse somewhere ???

Actually there are fuses on the 8-output board.

They are not glass fuses like on the power supply, but are IC fuses that look similar to a TO-92 transistor. On the board, they are usually indicated by a Fxxx (replace xxx with a number like F103 or F105...). You can use a multimeter to ohm them out to see if they are blown or not.
