Mpc 2000(xl) sounds

Does the mpc 2000 or xl have preloaded sounds in them like the 1000, 2500, etc? I see people on youtube with floppy disks or flash cards is that for adding more sounds and or samples in? I'm thinking of buying one and one of the reasons of doubt is getting a bunch of floppies.

My brand new 2kxlse2 came with an official akai mpc 2kxl cdrom full of samples.

2kxl's are discontinued, you'll most likely find used. Probably work out a deal with the seller for samples, maybe.

You can change out the floppy to ide internal multi card reader.

You haven't even read much around this site have you :lol:

to buy sounds is okai... for the first stepps. but then you will realise, that the www is full of pre-cut durms and snares.... it´s not worth to spend money on things that are thrown for free infront of your feets....
just google a bit.... or even better, you use ur sample to sample :-)
