sequencing chords with mpc on external synth

Hallo
I m controlling/sequencing an external with my mpc2000xl.
I d like to play chords with the mpc on my synth. But when I record the sequence the pad only play one note not a chord. To play a chord I have to hit three pads at the same time what is not easy if you are live recording your sequence. Any idea some of you?

Another possibility is some synths let multiple keys/tones be played simultaneously.

for example you could programme the synth to play a specific C,E and G when the the C is triggered. this means on your MPC all you need to do is trigger the pad which corresponds to the C.

Guess it depends on the synth though.

Or you can sample a wave form I.E. Saw, square, triangle etc...into the MPC and make a single cycle wave form out of it and than play the sample with 16 levels or auto-chromatic assignment. Playing chords is totally possible if you know what combination of pads to press.
