My floppy seems to have gone on the blink. If i replace it with a standard PC floppy will this work?

regular ole pc hdd floppy, yes.

That's as long as you can select ds0 via jumper or works in ds0 of the top. I had to try several floppy drives before I found one that worked and it ended up that it had jumpers I had to change.

I've changed out a few 2kxl's with regular ole pc hdd floppy drives in the distant past
and they all worked fine afterwards, but, whatever works for you, use it.
