how to track and sync mpc2000xl?

SETUP:
-MPC2000XL (WITH 8 OUTS BOARD) --> FAST TRACK ULTRA 8R --> PC

-MPC2000XL L/R AND FAST TRACK OUTPUT 1&2 --> MIXER

I BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO TRANSFER MY BEAT FROM THE MPC THEN PUT IT SEPARATLY INTO CUBASE LE4, BUT I DONT THINK I CAN DO IT IN LE4 CORRECTLY BECAUSE, I CAN ONLY TRACK OUT, OUTS 1 AND 2 EVEN THOUGH I SET UP THE BUSSES FOR IT.

ANYWAY APPRECIATE IT IF THERE'S ANY OTHER SOFTWARE RECOMMENDED OR ANYTHING ON HOW TO DO THIS.

Not to jack your thread but i was kind of curious what interface\mixer people are using myself.I'm about to order the 8 outs but i want to hook something up to the computer that will be fast,easy and reliable?

Plug 8 1/4" cables from the 8 outs in your MPC to the 8 inputs on the fasttrack. Make 8 separate audio tracks in cubase. Set the inputs of the audio tracks to the corresponding ins on the fasttrack. In the mixer screen use the INDIV function to tell what sounds go to what outputs. Hit record in cubase. In main screen or song screen on the MPC hit play all. Throw mixer in garbage you don't need it. :lol:

There's no MIDI sync involved in that method so you will have to trim off any blank recorded space and line up the first hit on the first bar. Set your BPM in cubase the same as in your MPC and the rulers will line up with your bars. Now regarding my payment, send me your mixer.

actually you can do midi sync (SHIFT + 9, scroll to the right) in terms of making the MPC a slave to cubase. this will make it so you press play on the cubase your MPC starts hands free. you'll have to figure out those settings in cubase, which i dont know... logic guy here. i feel this lines it up alot better. especially if you have 8 tracks recording simultaneously.
