Easy fix or spend the Doe????

I just started using the XL(it was my brothers')but the top row of pads doesn't work.I'm doing the card reader and getting the 8 outs but what i wanted to know is......Should i just send it off to Vstservice and get it fixed?(time and money lost)Or should i just get the Mpd 18(or 16)and go with the cheap fix for now?

Replaced it already.........it's something more that i know i can't fix.Wish i could though.

hmmm....have you tried opening it up and verifying the ribbon is connected properly?

i had the same issue with the top row when i got mine, messed with the ribbon and the mp turned on and fixed the problem. it was a bit of a hassle though, because when the top row started working, one pad in the low row stopped etc etc, so i just taped the pads (...) anyways - try with the ribbon.

I looked around and i don't see anything wrong.It looks like everything is in order but i'll look again.
