What's the F-ROM/FLASH ROM ABOUT

...peace-peace...i'm at work right now and got the MP- in front of me and happened to have left my manual at home...gotta quick question...what's the F-ROM-FLASH ROM all about...and can use this as i would use the scsi zip...speak back...thanks

Flashrom is a type of memory like RAM, but it strores data permanently like on a harddisk, even after turning the mp off.
it's expensive as hell though, so nobody really uses it.

...how much is it...is it a scsi external device...can you save and load sounds in it like you can do with the scsi zip...thanks for you response...

Yeah you can save and load sounds into it like a scsi device, but its only 8mb, so its not really worth buying. You must work somewhere cool as hell if you 're messin with a MPC there...

LOL...yeah man i work at my church (Revealing Truth Ministries) on Mondays...i'm an audio tech who produces a radio broadcast for my pastor...so i got the liberty to bring the MP- up here and do a lil' sumphin'...tryin' to figure out why in the world my zip disks clickin'...man i dun been on the acess zone on the "click of death" fix...did all'lat...still clickin'...what da deal...dats why i'm tryin' to find some other options for memory...so is the F-ROM expandable...what happens after you use the 8mb...don't tell me that's it...and how much is it and where could i get one from...shoot...i need to see how i can recover my zip disks...
