Mpc2000 as master midi sync, to cubase a slave AND Recording audio
I use mpc2000 as master seq: to play all my 4, Keyboard sound modelers to record there sound on to cubase as audio. But when I turn a midi track on, my Mpc2000, the cubase want work its stop and go and some time freeze. But if i turn off MPC, midi tracks it will sync and run all day.
But you know if I keep my MPC midi track off I will not be able to play and record my keyboard sound. Do anyone know the solution.

how do you have it all set up as of right now. I ask because it is possible to run it all like that but you will have to set the midi time code on the computer in the software you are using and on the mpc....... so run your set up down and I see if I can assist you in this matter

You got me puzzled....That never happens on my sytem. I use the 2000xl as master to Cubase sx. I can happily run as many miditracks as i want in sync.
Could it be your computer is just not fast enough to play all those audio tracks as well as a lot of midinotes? Try using one miditrack first, and make sure you have recorded only a few notes on your mpc, not a whole Bach sonate.
If that doesn't work, you can always record your keyboards and modules as audio.

To get the options you are talking about with Midi Machine Control you have to set all the appropriate settings in cubase for this and probably use Midi Timecode as well. Create a two way communication(i.e. fill out all the MMC stuff in Cubase, as well as MidiTimecode & do the same in the MPC) Pay attention to the Drop Frame settings as well just to be on the safe side.

After this you should be able to press stop and start on the MPC and have cubase respond.
