i've been looking nd reading ..

hey wats up people.... so im new to using the mpc 2000 i read the manual thuroghly or how eva u spell it... but i still cant get it.... how do i go about chopping up my sample i recorded it into the mp but now i cant figure out on how to cop nd ishhh i started my start nd end point but nothing idk wat im doing worng here and after i do that how do i go about assigning them to the pads...... all i need is help no one being a ass for no reason ite.... ma boy gave me the mpc a week ago nd didnt tell me how to use it i got a 500 but wat eva.... my boy didnt even know how to use it but neway so can someone with a soul in hear help me out nd not be dickishh

set the start and end points you whish to assign to another pad, go to edit, extract sound , then go to the program section hit a pad, and found that pad you just extracted

thanks but one more or 2 more q's wat do i press to assign them to the pads.... and also do i have to do that throught out the whole sample? meaning do i have to set a start and end point?... and when i do it wat do i press next to assign to the pads....?

If you can use the 500 the 2000 isn't entirely different. Just different ways to do the same thing.

A. If the manual doesn't do it, try using the MPC while looking at the manual. If that doesn't work, search the forum or check out the hundreds of YouTube videos, everyone has their own method of creating on the MPC. The way someone else tells you to use the 2000 may not be the best method for your creativity

B. It's also the possibility you may not be an "MPC 2k Classic dude", everything isn't for everybody. Take your time and hopefully you will get to the point where you can teach others how YOU use the MP

C. MPC may be broke (someone did "give" it to you) or the OS disc may be corrupt (that's what was wrong with mine) anyway,

I chop up a sample in "zones" on the 2000. Shift + trim, select sample, go to "zone" tab, set start and end point for zone you want to extract and press "edit" tab, set the sample name and "do it". That's a quick run through of how I do it, but you have to learn the basics to get it right. "Do it" (F6) is the abracadabra button on any MPC (that I have seen).
