Another SCSI issue with MPC2000

Not sure if I got a blown fuse or a bad cable. I can at least load 2 out of 3 of my zip disks but I cant load my programs and sequences but I can load each individual sound for a little bit, Till it reads SCSI ERROR then it'll say WAIT!.. I'm pretty sure yall know about the rest after that, It Keeps saying WAIT and all the jazz

I hope its not a blown fuse but I cant seem to find anywhere where it says what the symptoms are of a blown fuse.

The symptom of a blown fuse is a not working SCSI port. You cant load, save, boot, format, whatever when the fuse is blown.
You got a cable issue or the drive is dying slowly or the disks are dying slowly.

I got terminal on ON and SCSI port is on 5. When I was messing around with the terminals and SCSI ID I didnt even get a option to pick my sounds. All I got was WAIT! then SCSI not ready or SCSI Error so I put the terminal back on ON and ID back on 5 and I can at least go through my sounds and see my files on my disk but thats basically it.

If possible try to backup up your zip disks on a computer 'cause it seems like either your drive or your disks are bout to go tits up.

loose connection? I was having a similar issue and thought all my discs corrupted, mpc broken, etc.

just a loose connection of the scsi cable into the mpc. simple as.

hope it's as simple as that for you....

i ended backing everything up onto floppys (about 300). i guess it made me appreciate the simplicity and ruggedness of the humble 3.5.
