i was wondering if someone could expand on this and explain how to use it. Ive been having problems with looping like one long sample and I heard this would be the solution to my problems.

hit the pad where your sample is at then tap the tap button.....it will put you close to the tempo......or in the trim screen you can set it to loop just set the number of bars and it will give you the tempo free of charge

One tip tho'....

Press SHIFT + OTHER and set the TAP AVERAGE to 4 instead of the default 2. Gives you a more accurate tempo that way..

After 3 years of having my MPC, I never new that, nor did I touch the manual too much. I guess you never stop learning on the MPC.
