CF card formatting and storage problems, MPC 2000XL

I went to load samples on a Lexar 4GB CF card, but first I formatted it on the MPC. When I went to put on some sounds it only has 180 kb of space! Help!

Use 1gb card, os120.
Use -1gb, os114.

never mind. i reformatted on my computer. is ther anyway to use bigger thn 1 gb on tha mpc

Nope, you should't use more than 1 GB CF cards on the 2kxl. Actually, some 1GB cards are not even safe. Mine reads and saves only on 512MB ones. The 1GB are only readable.

Why wanna use more then 1gb

U can only load in 32mb max at the time. So 1gb will allready give you more then 30 full mpc loads. I use a 512mb UltraII CF card from SanDisk without any problems!!
