midi question

Ok I created a beat using midi from my keybord and drums from my mpc (loaded sounds)

now I save the sequence and sound

next day I load up that beat I created nothing but my drum kit play

Once I turn the keyboard on the sounds play but heres the catch.....Its not the right tunes that was created to my beat but the right melody why?

I go to save and then save all sequence and sounds I believe it says.

So when I turn the mpc on and load up what I saved, The keyboard dont have to be on for the midi notes?

you need to save your patches or sounds in what ever computer program you are using. Or of course if you had a hardware unit you would need to have your sounds loaded up.

good work around is to print your midi seq to audio to avoid the tedious file management

still not clear, Is there another way to save the midi sounds from the beat I just produce?

Is it in the save mode on the MPC?....

MID - When you record a sequence in your MPC sequencer, you save all the note data into a
sequence file, with the extension 'MID' (it's actually a standard MIDI file as used by all MIDI
equipment). Reloading this file will recreate this sequence information. No sounds are saved
with this file, just sequencer event information.

How do you save all the note data into a sequence file? Would that be located in save on the mpc menu?

I want to be able to load my beat up with my midi sounds and all, Like if you created a beat and saved on a keyboard, when you load it up the beat plays.

How would I be able to do this with my MPC ?

The MID file on mpc tells the kybd what to play, the kybd has to be ON
in order to play it back.

ok but why does it change the tune, once I turn on the keyboard.

example I can use a flute on midi channel 1
horns = midi channel 2
tomtom = midi channel 3
the beat is made im satisfied, next I save it to a zip disk under save all sequences.

next day I load up that same beat and turn the keyboard on that
flute on midi channel 1
horns = midi channel 2
tomtom = midi channel 3
there be totally different sounds but the same melody

so do I have to match up the sounds I had evevery time?
