problem with 8 outs...no sound...

hi,
Can anyone help me?
I put the Akai IB-M208p (stolen from an akai s 2000) on my akai mpc 2000 xl,
but now I hear no sound from the outputs.
The headphones feels very low volume hum ..there is much background noise in analog recording ...
how can I fix this?
is there any fuse switch?

try to reinstall it again.maybe your wires are loose,i'm not sure about the cross ref on the s2000 and 2kxl,but i'm not sure if thats possible. what do you have the 8 outs hooked to? maybe thers something wrong with the mixer yuor plugged into.

You can use the 8-outs from either the S2000 or S3000XL inside a MPC 2000 or MPC 2000XL. Mounting it inside the MPC is a little tricky, as the hardware is not directly compatible.

dj tubet, did the 8-outs work in the S2000 before you put it it? Are you using the correct cable to plug in into the MPC

Depending on the manufacturer, some of the boards have circuit protection fuses on the board that look like this: Check them with a multimeter for continuity -- if any are open, then the fuse will need to be replaced.
