extern zip problem "too much files" ?¿!?¿!

hi.
i have a new problem with my mpc2000 i hadn´t before.
Now a lot of times when i go to save my aps. or all. files, on the screen appears "SCSI error" (or something like this) and when i retry it, appears "too much files", but it is not true because when i try some times more it saves correctly,
somebody know what happen??

Someone correct me if im wrong but i believve theres a limit to how many files can be saved on a single partition of a zip. When you format a zip disk on your mpc you can choose how many partition you want on that disk. Setting up multiple partitions should help you utilize more space on your zip disk
