mpc 2000 as studio sequencer

does anybody use a 2000 to sequence multiple things i'm looking to pick up an mpc 2000 to sequence 2 keyboards and maybe vst's but definitely sync'd to my computer does the mpc get a little sluggish or anything along those lines when lots of midi data is being sent out?

I dont have the 2000 but the xl. Just thought id post since they are pretty close. Ive never had a problem synched to ableton and pro tools. It requires a little fine tunning on the app's side though. I mean if you use it to trigger samples like in ableton. There are ram and buffer settings you can modify, which smooth things out. My lap top is old and probably barely meet specs but it works. I havent had any lag or latency that I havent been able to correct.

Ive also used the asr in this mix just as an added note.

I've controlled 6 pieces of hardware at a time without a hiccup. Only time I've had a problem is when I go overboard with the cc shit.

I'm not into mice and clicks at all ive had my share of mpcs im just wondering about the 2000. Never had it or the xl so i was just wondering how it is and all that before i make that purchase

It's always solid as a rock, the only thing that annoys me is how they ditched the 4 midi outs that the 3000 and 60 had!
When ever I used my friends 3k it was always such a joy, you could connect endless midi modules and never worry about muting ish on the mixer or what MIDI ch they are on
