I HAVE HAD BOTH 2000 AND THE XL AND I CNT LIVE WITHOUT THE AUTOMATIC CHOP FEATURE MAYBE IM JUST LAZY LOL

Damn you certainly would hate the MPC-60 lol You can't even do that on the 60 compared to the 2k

i "chop" the samples straight when i record them in from vinyl, ive used the automatic chop option once when i first got my mpc
my workflow is alot faster when i "chop" the samples myself str8 from the v1nylz

I bounce my samples to software, chop em, then bounce em back to the 2k and create my master piece from there.

When I had my 2k classic I just used the zone edit copy to new sound function to take certain parts of a sample. Was fairly quick, but I'm not a fan of auto chop. I have auto chop on my 1k now and it never gets used. Still like doing it manually like on the 2k classic. It just becomes a routine after awhile and you get used to it.
