Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Just wonder if anyone out there is using a scsi cd-rom and burning their own cd-rs of samples with an mpc2000 (nonXL).

I trust my zips so little and with not being able to hook it up to the computer (XP) and do things the easy way, I just stick to floppies.

It would be really nice though, from time to time, to be able to load a sample bigger than 1.44MB.

I have a scsi HD already and it is fine but no good for loading (only storage).

You can't burn CD roms with a scsi cd rom connected to the mpc but you can read them. I got a cd rom to read some sounds from cd roms but I don't remember the model number as I bought it almost five years ago and it doesn't have the make/model on the front panel. Go to ebay and look up mpc2000 and someone will be selling compatible cd roms there.

maybe I should have been more clear.

I have a computer with a cd burner (hell it even burns dvds).

I have an mpc2000 (nonXL) I was wondering if a scsi cd-rom on the mpc would be able to read cd-r's that I burn on the computer.
I know with the nonXL that I can't use folders, but I am used to that. I just need to load pgms, snds and sequence files.
