Quik-Lock Stand for the MP

Is anybody using a stand like the QL-400 or the new version of it....

I saw this video
and the MPC seems pretty steady?

Is it one of these?
Whould you recomend it?
I am looking for something that will be solid.

Yea I've been thinking about getting one too (need more desk space). The one in the video looks pretty solid, and I don't think there are too many different brands out there. If odyssey makes one I would go with that. Everything they make is solid. But I've only ever seen one brand on ebay for about $80-100. They seem pretty solid tho.

PS that video sucks really hard. I liked the drums he got by the end, but we don't get to hear the finished project, just him f*cking up a sequence, then hitting Stop--> Undo Seq--> Over Dub--> Play Start over and over again, trying to get those hats right... Jeez.

I didn't check the thing ... but I think I know what piece of hit you guys are talking about. Are they considered (or sold as) mixer stands?

they work for anything really. even a turntable.

they are sturdy.

only payed 80 for both on craigslist... but thats a steal.

I guess? I don't know.. it would work for smaller mixers just fine.

it is great for me cause I don't always have everything out at once due to limited desk space... so if you don't need it out, it can stay in the closet on its stand.

but rolling the drum machine up right in front of your face for the first time at a good angle... you wonder why you ever would put another drum machine on a desk.

Yes they are branded as mixer stands.
Just pay attention on the size of it.

I've been trying to find one of these for ages. Seems like there are not alot of them on sale this side of the great pond. If anyone knows of a kosher online dealer in europe that carries either brand, then let me know.

Have you looked at e-bay?

Also the same company changed name I think
and produces the QL-400 as an MX-400 or something like that.
