cable confusion for external zip.....need help !!

Is there a difference between a 50 pin to 25 pin cable & a 25 pin to 50 pin cable for a XL user...and do you need a SCSI2 50 pin or SCSI1 50 pin for the XL's SCSI port? cause these cables are about extinct in this world ....help please on cable matter for mpc...cause i'm a newbie in connecting an external zip

25 to 50 pin cables that I've seen are pretty much the same. To my knowledge the XL's connectors would be SCSI 1.

You can't dffind these cables in your regular walk in computer store anymore.

You can find them online though and some of the older dealers have them, especialy old mac dealers. Anyway, do a web search for SCSI cables or visit www.lowendmac.com and look at the used/refurbished Mac Dealers.
