Computer Not Reconizing MPC2000XL

Well before I start want to let everyone know I have read my manual 2 times and I have spent hours on forums and youtube. So I am gonna list what I have and see if anyone can help me on this.
I have a MPC 2000XL, A 1x1 MidiSport,M-Audio 49 key keystation,computer,reason

Here is what I am trying to do. I would like to track my drum patterns into the reason sequencer and play reason instruments along with my mpc drum patterns into the reason sequencer. I want to handle all sequencing in reason.

Here is the problem I have connect the mpc2000xl to the midisport and everything setup for the midi settings. I go into reason and go to the find device window and press a pad on the mpc while its in midi mode and guess what I get nothing and thats where i have been stuck so now I need straitforward help with this and would be grateful for the person that can help me thanks so much again I need new responses i have spent hours on youtube

A very BASIC setup would go like:

Midi Out from MPC to audio card Midi IN.

In Reason preferences - set up the MPC as a "midi control keyboard"

on your MPC setup S:MIDI and :1A-Device01

Pads should work now.

Remember the pads won't map chromatically so you'll have to change that on your MPC manually. Jeremy Ellis has a good tutorial about that.
