Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hi is anyone know if is possible to conect 2000 to pc by midi cables on sound blaster live via game port? model of card is ct4760... do i need any drivers to do it?or maybe some software. i was trying to do it many times myself without effect .i need help

Should be working without much trouble if you have your soundcard installed properly, a MIDI breakout cable connected and some software running that can handle MIDI data.

what kind of software you can recomend?
drivers are oryginal, and card works fine (excluding midi)....
if its comes to multitracks i am using cool edit pro , acid and now trying cubase.
do i need to instal any other program or driver to make it works???

No, you don't need another driver to make it work. Cubase should be able to record MIDI. Usually you just need to open a MIDI track and record and it should receive notes sent to the MIDI In. Maybe it even has some kind of MIDI Monitor to check incoming data.

it have to be hardware problem than.. wrong cable or broken game port on my sound card. yestarday i was trying to conect midi keyboard and also i can't record or even hear enythig.
do you know if midi din to usb is working with 2000?

I have no idea. But I know that you are not gonna hear anything in general when working with MIDI...I hope you did not expect that.
