if you don't have a dedicated cd player, you can sample straight off your computer - just find the proper cables to connect the soundcard's outputs with mpc.

.. but seriously though.... how did the dude not know that cd players play cds?

Well, after sitting and thinking of a way to defend and/or justify his question, I have come to the conclusion that some battles are better left alone...

idk...maybe he has ADD and ADHD like me...? but then again that don't explain it... oh well... he should be fine.........

That definitely doesn't explain it. I think he is one of those youngsters who never knew life before USB 2.0.... so naturally the sampling feature of the MPC series is not something that comes to mind.

You see it all the time around here.... people are so worried about file and media formats... converters, usb recognition, this and that....... and never do they think of doing things simple by running a line out into the mpc record inputs.

ok so i had wrote a nice lil paragraph in response but first my wifi went out and then opera mobile for my internet tablet crashed so i lost it...

but in a nutshell, me being 22 years old in this world as it is now i see alot of this in everydsy life. nobody wants to research. new technology is making people lazy-er. if there was no reason or fl studio or logic or whatever everybody is using...(pro tools, thats right), most of the people on these forums would not be here. too many people take old technology for granted. i want a newer model MPC mainly the 1000, but i know i could sit down and figure half of it out before i read the manual... but that is because i read and research and try things out and have an understanding of basic things work and i know how to make due with what i have and to adapt...

i sound mean......like im trynna call him dumb...awww... he be aight tho...
