hey whats up guys - i know this has been posted so many times on this, including many from my self - but i just dont get it ----- i have my midi cables and everything set up the right way between my Motif and MPC -- i can trigger the sounds and i hear them, so everythings connected correcltly - the problem is sequencing --- even when i try in MULTI mode on the motif - it just wont let me sequence ---> i really need help i have had this equipment for almost a year now, i have read every tutorial, post and manual on this situation - but what i need is to talk to someone who has a motif rack / mpc 2000xl setup --- thanks so much, i am sorry for repeating this post a billion times - peace out

Wusup. what do you mean you can't seq. is the motif a rack?

yeah sorry about that is hould have made that more clear ---- i haev a motif rack, and mpc2000xl set up all correctly - like i can even trigger sounds - but i cannot sequence many different soudns on the mpc -- meaning, i cannot get like a bass drum from the MOTIF on track one, and a snare from the track on track 2 ---> its just not letting me sequence different sounds

U needs to set the rack to operate in 'multi' mode...Be sure to set each track within the MPC to have its own Midi channel. ie Track 1 = Midi 1A-Device01

Refer to the manuals if in doubt

thanks dude - ya thatts what ive been trying, i ve been hitting the MULTI button on the rack - and i get like the 128 multi sounds, but i dont know how to change them up - and it still does not let me sequence differnt songs, i have read the manual a numerous amount of times - and i cannot find the right menu in the motif to assign midi channels -- but thanks anyways dude peace out

the old roland mc303's were like that in multi mode. it lost all programability from the box. only via midi mpc. i mean it was an absolute peice of shit, but i thought it may be similar to your problem.
