Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hey guys,

i got a little (but important) problem with my mpc2000xl. when i format the floppy discs in windows(xp/7, fat), the mpc isnt able to read them but otherwise, when i format
the discs in the mpc, both windows versions arent able to read it as well..
so, i cant transfer files to the center... the most strange thing is, that i bought a card reader a few days ago and it came with a floppy disc. even this disc isnt readable.
so? got anyone a solution? its really wird because the guy who gave me the mpc gave me some discs as well and these discs are working with no problem.

thanks in advance

Not sure if it makes a difference but are the disks HD (High Density) or DD (Double Density)?

If you can sacrifice one working disk then maybe you can try the following: you will need two working disks, let's call them A and B. Make a copy of A (for safekeeping) onto B. Then format A and use that as your test disk. Try to format it on your PC and see what happens.

I don't have a floppy drive myself (I got a CF card reader right off the bat) but this is what I would do if I were you.
