I own a regular Numark USB with red and white RCA cables I believe. If I'm correct, I connect those into the mpc Digital Ins correct? When I do, and I head over to the sampling section, all I get is massive static. Am I doing somehing wrong?

BTW I'm getting my sound through my USB interface which is connected to the CPU. So basically I have the turntable connected via Digital input and my mpc stereo outs shoot out to the interface. Maybe there's somethig wrong ok this setup help me out guys.

run the RCA into the Stereo Ins on your MPC
you'll have to get 2 RCA-to-1/4 in converters to do this
they're like 2 bucks each at Radio Shack, no big deal
the digital in/out is usually used to sample in from another digital in/out which were usually found on DATS and CD recorders

Does your usb tunrtable have a built in phono preamp?

If not you're going to have to buy a cheap preamp and an rca cable to 1/4 inch cable or the same cable and a dj mixer with a built in pre amp

Just run your usb cable to the comp and download audacity to record it
