Hi there,

I am currently trying to sequence my MPC on the p.c using Acid. I am wondering if there is anyway that I can create a midi track on Acid by punching the keys on the MPC??

I have got midi in and midi out connected. I can sequence the MPC pads by clicking on the Midi track sequencer on the computer, but its more fiddly than if I could just bash the pads along to the sounds ive got on the computer if ya know what i mean.

e.g I've got a nice rhythm and bass going on the computer and I want to add some drums from the mpc....but rather than sequencing it on the piano roll editor on acid....i want to just press the pads on the MPC..... I assume that it is something to do with Midi out but dont have an idea how to go about it......any help or advice would be muchly appreaciated.

just set your current track on the mpc to midi 1a instead of drum:off and the pads will transmit midi data.

make sure your mpc midi out is going into the computer and start up a midi track in acid (I guess I havent used acid in many years) and set acid to record to the midi track and bang the pads.

you might have to set what midi channel acid is using. in my example set it to channel 1 (just like the 1a that you set on the mpc).
