Iomega Zip drive

HELP!!! When I hook my zip drive up...I keep getting a message that says "SCSI conflict on ID#6". Currently I have the settings on the drive set to "ON" and SCSI ID#5. No matter which SCSI I set my 2000XL to...I still get the same prompt. Could the cable be defective? The green light is always on with or without the disk.

yeah but never mind setting it on the mpc... make sure it is NOT id 6 on the drive itself... and make sure your drive has a terminator.

should the terminator be set to on or off?

ON if it is the last SCSI device in the chain.
