what disc's are needed to save sounds an files on the inter

Hey guys I'm new here an have only question about the MPC 2000 XL -MCD edition.

I bought a 4gb scandisc card which i assumed would be compatible for saving all my data on this card, however I could not get it to work. Now it may be my lack of knowledge on operating the MPC when it comes to saving data ?or the flash card I bought is just incompatible?

The card is def the right size and fits into the MPC, not sure if It needs to be " formated-erased" even if its bran new????

I can't find the users manual online for this particualr mpc, so either knowledge would be appreciated....

The manual should be mostly the same for the 2000xl...it's the same machine.

Try a smaller card, 1gb. Also, are you sure you are formatting the card first?

Format it as FAT16 if you try it in the computer. Or just try to format on MPC.
