Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Quick ? for those familiar with the 2000xl.Can anyone explain why is it that a sample sounds different when I am in the Shift\Trim page as opposed to the Main Screen. For example when I play a sampled kick that I have assigned to a pad it is lower compared to when I play that same sampled kick in the Shift\Trim screen. Its as if it drops a db or something.

Any feedback is appreciated to those that do not mind. ~1~

push that little button at the top to the left of the knobs that says FULL LEVEL while you at the main screen.
with out that lit up, its set to where the harder you hit the pad, the louder it sounds, aka VELOCITY mode.

dj6807 Thanks for the reply but its not the 16 level functionality thats the culprit. That is highlighted. I have the 60, 60II, and the 3000 and regardless of what screen I'm in the volume level is consistent. Maybe its just a flaw no biggie I guess.Glo on the no look though. ~1~

Same behaviour here.
In TRIM Screen the samples are slightly louder than in other menus. I did a few tests but didn't find the reason. It has nothing to do with filter, velocity (had the full level on), outputs (I tried main and individual. well TRIM doesn't support individual out anyway), or the output boost in MIXER -> SETUP menu, or LEVEL in TRIM -> PARAM menu. I'm clueless. But it doesn't bother me to have this slightly dB fluctuation :)
