DATA WHEEL ON MPC 2000XL doesnt Work

Hello everyone recently the data wheel on my MPC 2000xl stopped working everything on the mpc works except for the data wheel, I know there is something wrong with it I just dont know what it could be or where to start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I am ready to get back working with my MPC. Thanks in Advance

The encoder probably needs to be replaced.

The diagnostic menu will let you know if it is working or not. You can access it via these instructions:
