mpc2000xl pgm. import into battery and cubase grooveagent on

hello again. is there a way i can import my mpc2000xl programs into battery and cubase 5 groove agent one. if there is how do i do it?

in short, no.

in long, yes, by hand, one sound at a time.
basically rebuild the program from scratch in battery.

I know Battery can read .akp files, if you can find a way to convert pgm to akp you should be sorted..

Battery claims to support both akp and pgm formats. So do the majority of all the other software samplers out there. If that does not work, there are alwys third party programs such as the chicken systems translator etc to convert between patch formats.

yeah i know i tried a little bit in battery, but havent got it to work yet. thats why i was wondering if somebody else knew. steinberg also claims to import mpc programs into groove agent one. gonna check out chicken translator. thanks

I haven't tried at all in Battery, and maybe I totally jumped the gun saying you couldn't (I have 0 faith in cross-manufacturer support especially on older gear). However per their website, it does claim to.

I guess the issue then is, what's the actual problem? If the site says they do, and you are using battery, why are you asking if it works?

because i read on the internet that some could load and others dont. but i didnt find enough info. someone said that steinberg where selling them a lie. maybe its depending on the model, how old is it etc and i thought someone here maybe know. im trying the hell out of it 4 the moment:) i finally got some sounds to load in battery from the xl, also my mpc500 pgms loads. my mpc500 pgms loads in groove agent, but not the xl still. i didnt mean to be rude or something, i just think this is a great thing if it could work. beacuse if my mpcs breaks down or something i can still use my pgms in battery etc etc etc and i can build stuff on my mpcs then transfer to my computer etc etc etc collaborations etc etc etc

Battery III loads my mpc programs just fine.

xl programs??
