Use Midi controller (keyboard) to play Mpc2000xl

I would like to use my yamaha kx49 midi keyboard controller to play samples on my mpc2000xl. I would like to use the keyboard to play piano samples on the mpc2000xl in a sequence. The result I would like to acheive is: I should be able to record piano sample on tbe mpc2000xl by using the keyboard.

1) Find a piano sample. Either record it into the sampler or put the wave file into it using a method I'm assuming you are familiar with.

2) Assign that sample to a pad.

3) Create an 'autochromatic' program from that sound. I believe the command says 'AUTO'. The details are in the manual.

4) Load that program.

5) Plug in your midi keyboard.

6) Play. You can now record these sequences.

The result I would like to acheive is: I should be able to record piano sample on tbe mpc2000xl by using the keyboard.

This does not make sense since a controller keyboard usually does not make any sound to sample...correct me if yours does.
