How to save more than one sequence/song to a zip disk

I need to know the best procedure for saving several songs to a single 100mb zip disk. I can save a song or sequence to a disk, but when I try to save another song. The MPC ask if i want to replace the previous song. I need to know if I have to give all songs and sequences different names? Should I create a seperate folder on the disk exclusively for each song. What is the best procedure for saving multiple songs on a single disk. Right now, to be safe, I use only one disk per song.

So what would be the ideal situation for you? That you wouldn't have to bother renaming the files and the MPC would sort out the songs for you? No dice.

Either you give them different names (shouldn't take you more than a couple of seconds) or you create a separate folder for each song. This is what I do. Little risk of overwriting things and navigating between files and folders remains easy.

Only one song per disk seems like a colossal waste of space.

Separate folders / song is a great idea because it allows you to store your samples together as well.
You will have to have unique names for each of these folders though, which is exactly what it (strangely) seems like you are trying to avoid.

My advice? Name them differently and just get used to it. I tend to keep projects in folders then I keep APS and ALL files named with an 8 digit date. Which is good to point out, keep all your names 8 characters or less or you will not be able to use them with a computer.

FOrmat and partition your zips and then save all pgm and snds and all seq and songs to each partition...by far easiest way without having to worry about overwriting etc.
