AKAI MPC 2000XL HELP

so i recently figured out how to sample my sounds from a keyboard now the last two questions i wanna know is if i can sample kicks hi hats and all that good stuff from my laptop i have logic with some sample packs i bought from the store and have them on my logic 9 now i just wanna put them on my mpc 2000xl and if u dont know how to do that then can someone tell me how to save the stuff i sample from my piano to a laptop where i can listen to it or put it on my itunes so i can listen to it and see what else i want to add

You need a common form of storage between the computer and the MPC. Floppy, CF, Zip, CD ROM.... Save the sounds as .wav files and they should be transferable between the two. I believe there's more specifics concerning the .wav file but I dont know what they are.

OHH OK SO NO MATTER WHAT I HAVE TO GET A ZIP DISK ?
NOW CAN I GET THE ZIP DRIVE THATS USB COMPATIBLE AND LOAD SMAPLES FROM MY LAPTOP AND THE USE THE DISK AND PUT IT IN THE MPC ZIP DRIVE AND LOAD AND SAVE ?

You'll need two Zip drives: a USB zip drive (connects to your computer) and a SCSI Zip drive (connects to your MPC).

An alternate solution is to use card reader drives: a SCSI or ATAPI card reader drive for your MPC and a USB card reader to connect to your computer.

Zip drives will most likely be cheaper but card readers are a better investment for the long run, as they are a much more reliable storage media.

NOW I KNOW THERES DIFFERENT ONES LIKE 100 OR SOMETHIGN LIEK THAT ARE THE ATAPI ONESL IEK THAT ALSOO?

LIKE A 250 MB OR A 150 MB

the 100mb is the best to use. or if your laptop has a CF slot, you could get the MCD upgrade for your MPC which will be a lot easier to transfer between them both.
