ANYONE'S CARD READER EVER DECIDE NOT TO READ?????

Hey guys,

So I'm having this problem and i can't tell if its the mpc itself or the memory card. I'm using a memory card that was provided to me by SCSI for samplers (1gb). When i insert the card it just straight up won't read the information on it. When i let it sit for awhile, it'll just start working all of a sudden. All of the connections are fine, its either the card or the reader. This would just really suck to have happen right before a show. Any help would be awesome. thanks.

It could be a bad card - how old it it? What kind of card reader do you have? Which MPC do you have? Exactly what error messages are you getting? We need more information - as much as possible.

mpc2000xl. how old is the card or the mpc? i bought the mpc with the card reader already installed. im not sure what kind it is besides silver. the only error message that ive got are wrong file format, but usually it just doesnt load the card. no message, nothin.

A few years back I bought a card reader from MPC Stuff along with a 1g card... ironically the card was a crappy Chinese knock off that didn't work, and the drive was also temperamental.

It usually took several attempts to get it to work properly, but once it warmed up it was ok.
