Please don't crucify me if this has been discussed before, I tried to do a search and only came up with tangentially related topics. I have an issue with my MPC2000 display where there is an amorphous patch of black on the screen display (whether the machine is on or off.) It doesn't really look much like pixels, as the shapes that comprise it arent square or rectangular they are very thin in some places, and it's kind of snaking around one area of the screen.
I imagine these are what are called dead pixels, but they seem to be growing and attempting to colonize the screen. If this is just something I will have to deal with until new displays are made, how can I slow this process down? Or better yet, what is causing this so I don't wreck another screen? Thanks for any help you all can provide.
