PLEASE HELP I HAVE SAVING AND LOADING PROBLEMS

look i have this mpc 2000.i save what ever i make on it to my floppys,the floppy says its saved.i turn off the mpc and turn it back on to see if i can load that beat. when i load it and press play,i hear nothing. someone please help i want to save my beats on flopys and play them from flopys.ive seen damu the fudge munk and others do it so i know its possible,some one plzz help

You got ALL PGM files that will save all of your programs and sounds for future u/l. and you have ALL SEQ SONG files that are just a small file that stores midi data. The earlier being your sounds and zones and edits you've made, and the later being note on/off commands that u recorded while hitting the pads... get it? So you must be saving BOTH of these and u/l both of these to not run into issues.

okay do you mind going threw the steps of setting it to the pgm mode,becuz i might do it rong while trying,if not i understand

yea i half ass answered that one just cuz you were inviting people to turn this into a "READ THE MANUAL" thread.

SHIFT+PROGRAM enters a menu displaying DRUM1 DRUM2 DRUM4. Go to Drum 1 most likely, then you can assign sounds on the pads.... Hit a pad, go to where it says OFF, turn the wheel to pick diff sounds, you can do each pad that way. The Program is basically saving what sounds are on what pads, and zoning/trim info... so in lamens, ur 16 pad kit on bank A is a Program (PGM). If you do like a 16 zone slice and have it automatically make a new program.... that 16 slice lay out is a program... So for it to load up next time you fire up the mpc, you must save the PGM. or you can save all the prgms you have loaded at once.... ALL PGM and sounds (forget what it says EXACTLY) and then save ALL_SEQ_SONG for your midi data... I think i just reiterated my first post.... idk, if you don't get that
