MPC-2k freezing.. while in trim mode

i have a Mpc2k thats started freezing up on me, there's no error messge just loss of all controll functions? screen stays the same as last thing ur doing.. most often occurs while in trim mode, or using the fine edit tool..?
have been reading related posts... saw some about mpc2k freezing because of somthing to do do with the power supply, and some other related to scsi issue? but didn't see ne that related to this issue.. that i could find ?
if ne body has info on this issue it would be a great help!

If it is power related then try to use a new cord. I doubt it's the scsi because it would only freeze if the disc or drive was bad, or the actually scsi port was bad itself when attempting to retrieve the data.


What it does seem like though is the mother board may be failing. And a new one goes around $150.
