is there good way to use both recording inputs to make mono

i think i wantto be able to use both inputs but I dont like to do stereo, for time constraints and I just like it in mono anyhow, is there a better way of doing this than just resampling in mono? I want to save time in the process

When you sample, select the field that says 'stereo', rotate your wheel left / right and you can pick which channel (left / right) you want to use as the mono source.

You can only use one channel at a time when doing mono, you cannot combine channels.
