Module-controller-mpc-tascam 2488-daw?? Possible??

Alright this is a tricky one. I want to know if this is possible. My set up now is my triton rack to my ensoniq eps 16+ (as my controller), to my mpc. everything is connected and working just fine i just want to record with organization. now i want to track from whats recorded on my mpc to my tascam 2488 to then possibly track to cubase for editing because the editing on the 2488 isnt so great. Is this possible? Am i making things more complicated then they should be? Again, I want to have all my tracks separate on my 2488. I havent even tried that so i guess that would be my first question and the first step. then the second would be i guess "retracking" for editing on cubase. Anybody do this or know how?

I see your point about the interface. Main reason being the number of inputs but I see your point. And come to think of it I dont see my question being possible seeing as my 2488 has only 1 midi in and 1 midi out.

And as for my mpc outs I dont see why it matters because I'm dealing with midi info from the triton rack but the answer is 8.

You aren't actually dealing with any midi info from the triton rack. How are you hearing the triton rack? Not midi. You don't listen to midi, it's note data only. Think of it like like a cd has music on it but when you hit 'play' you aren't listening to the 'play' button, you are listening to the cd. the 'play' button just tells the cd to start.

Here's what you do:
EPS MIDI OUT -> MPC MIDI IN
MPC MIDI OUT -> TRITON MIDI IN
TRITON AUDIO OUT -> recorder (tascam or cubase...doesnt matter)
MPC AUDIO OUT -> recorder (only if you are listening to sounds from your mpc...if all sounds are from triton then this is unnecessary)

Play around with that and then come back with what you have learned.

Yes there is a lot of settings to adjust but consider that your homework, finding those in the manuals.

you can export all the individual wave files that have been recorded in to the 2488 to cubase as i used to do this with my pro tools setup until I got my projectmix so that i could record all tracks in 1 take. Only thing is that it does take a little while for the 2488 to export the tracks. Read about the export function in the 2488 user manual.

That is in fact my set up (with the exception of the triton main audio outs, I'm using the 4 individual outs on the triton but this limits me to only 4 tracks). I guess my question is since I'm usually working with more than 4 tracks is there a way to individually track to the tascam having the multiple tracks (in this case more than 4) with its corresponding sound to each individual fader on the tascam depending on the number of tracks?

Yes this is what i was planing on doing i just originally wanted to know if there was any short cuts
